With a masters in jazz voice, Julie is a voice teacher of all musical styles. She ensures her students develop healthy singing habits, implementing unique pedagogical approaches that balance contemporary and classical approaches.

Julie has over a decade of performance experience in multiple styles on various instruments, including clarinet (all levels), saxophone (beginning-intermediate), and piano (beginning-intermediate).

Prioritizing what the student wants to say, Julie guides writers  as they find their own voice. She has experience writing in many genres, with an extensive collection of bands and songwriters that she reveres. 

One of Julie's favorite places to be is in front of an ensemble. With a wide array of classical choral and jazz choir teaching experience, she thrives in large group settings. Julie has worked with wind ensembles, jazz bands, and other instrumental groups as well.
